The Mοgra top is constructed from repurposed aluminum muffin cups – a futile gift transformed into a rigid, sculptural bodice. Each aluminum cup was hand-flattened and pierced through its center with a heavy iron nail. On the interior, the nail heads serve as structural anchors, securing an underlying web of galvanized steel strips. This hidden metallic framework holds the individual modules in place while providing a subtle elasticity, allowing the unyielding structure to flex and adapt to the contours of the wearer’s torso. The top is secured at the back with a broad elastic band, referencing traditional lingerie fastenings to ground the metallic piece against the skin. This piece is 1/1 and handmade in our studio in Athens.
