The Pneum pendant-top is made from a broken, discarded shower head, transformed into a tactile neckpiece. The metallic handle forms the central axis of the structure. At its crown, bare acrylic nails are assembled in a dense, concentric array, blooming into a sculptural rosette that evokes the geometry of a chrysanthemum. Flanking the metallic core, plush black feathers fan out into a soft plumage, establishing a material juxtaposition between the synthetic hardness of the acrylic, the cold chrome of the fixture, and the skin beneath. The inherent permeability and semi-transparency of the feathers create a subtle hide-and-seek interplay across the wearer’s nipples. It is suspended via a gold-tone chain attached to the upper neck, allowing it to be secured around the torso. This piece is 1/1 and handmade in our studio in Athens.
