GYEOL

Choker | Harlequin Tiles, Ex-votos & Golden Fringe

The Gyeol neckpiece is constructed from discarded white harlequin tiles, repurposed golden fringe from an old runner and golden floral ornaments salvaged from an abandoned chandelier. Lined with soft felt, the piece intentionally negotiates physical discomfort. The geometric points along the upper perimeter press against the underside of the jawline; while unsharpened, they enforce an upright, disciplined posture that heightens the wearer’s awareness of their own presence. The piece functions as a neck prosthesis that actively conditions body mechanics through sartorial restraint. The design is secured at the back through ribbon lacing. This piece is 1/1 and handmade in our studio in Athens.
