18.00

Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist whose art that depicted complex spiritual ideas and symbolisms inspired numerous abstract art movements. She was a mystic, involved into many aspects of Spiritism, an omen for the era of modernism through artistic, spiritual, political, and scientific systems that penetrated her life and work. She was a part of ‘The Five’, a group of female artists that were interested in the paranormal and regularly organized séances in quest for acquiring the knowledge of spirit. Amidst her work with the group and around 1896, she created experimental automatic drawing, that lead her toward an inventive geometric visual language that conceptualized invisible forces both of the inner and outer worlds.
